The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a city resident following a domestic-related incident on July 11th.
Colleen Hartman, 25, of Canandaigua was charged with felony aggravated family offense, criminal contempt, and unlawful possession of marijuana after following her estranged husband from his place of work.
As her husband walked to his home, she followed and knocked on his door for upwards of 20 minutes attempting to make contact with him. Police say that there was an active stay away order of protection, which prohibited Hartman from contacting her husband.
The aggravated family offense charge resulted due to the fact that Hartman had a previous conviction for a domestic violence offense within the previous five years, according to police.
Hartman was taken to the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
