After some heavy rain and storms in the southern and northern Finger Lakes on Thursday, the region is ready to settle in to a picture perfect summer weekend. Residents with plans for outdoor activities on or around the lakes or in the backyard should expect mid-summer perfection with lower humidity levels than we’ve experienced over the past few days.
Here’s all the details…
Friday, July 12th
Just a slight chance of a lingering rain shower in the morning and cloudy in the afternoon. High temperatures in the mid to high 70’s and low temperatures in the high 50’s to low 60’s with a 6-9 mph winds out of the northwest.
Saturday, July 13th
This will be the warmest day of the weekend. Saturday morning will be sunny before a few afternoon clouds move in. High temperatures will be in the mid to high 80’s with a slight southwestern breeze.
Keep an eye on the UV index if you’re planning on being outside in the nice weather because it will be high this weekend, Use sunscreen generously!
After sunset, there will be a chance of an isolated rain shower or thunderstorm overnight into Sunday. Lows will be in the high 50’s to low 60’s.
Sunday, July 14th
Sunday will be another beautiful day with sunny skies and a few clouds. It should feel cooler with highs in the mid to high 70’s similar to Friday. Low temperatures will once again be in the high 50’s to low 60’s across the region overnight.
