The bridge that carries Port Gibson Road over the Erie Canal in Palmyra will be closed for five days for repairs.
New York State Department of Transportation workers will be doing short-term repairs from July 10-14.
The New York State Department of Transportation today announced that the bridge carrying Port Gibson Road over the Erie Canal in the town of Palmyra, Wayne County, is now closed to vehicular traffic for short-term repairs and expected to re-open by Monday, July 15.
Drivers will be directed to head east and use detours at Route 31, Whitbeck Road and Hogback Hill Road.
