No charges filed against driver who struck pedestrian along Rt. 54A in Milo over the weekend

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office reports that the 31-year-old who was struck by a vehicle in Milo on Saturday is listed in stable condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Finger Lakes News Radio reports that Bradley Vogt will have to undergo surgery for his injuries, which include fractures.

However, the investigation into the accident revealed that the driver – identified as 22-year-old Roger Taft, made an attempt to avoid striking him; and that speed was also not a factor in the crash.

No charges are being filed as result, according to investigators. They are still trying to determine why Vogt was in the middle of the road.
