Registered sex offender charged with felonies by Ithaca PD after failing to report employment changes

On Monday an Ithaca Police Investigator learned that Amanda Rojas of Trumansburg Road in Ithaca, a registered Level 2 sex offender, had changed employment on two occasions and moved without notifying the Ithaca Police Department as required by the NYS Corrections Law. Based on her previous conviction, each of these violations is a class D Felony.

Amanda Rojas was arrested and remanded to Tompkins County Jail without bail.

The Ithaca Police Department takes community safety very seriously, and would like to encourage all community members to contact them if you believe that any known or registered sex offenders are out of compliance.
