More meetings about the future of I-81 in Syracuse will be held this week.
The meeting are being put on by the New York State Department of Transportation. The first meeting is Tuesday, July 9th in the Town of Camillus Municipal Building. Another meeting will be held, Wednesday, July 10th at East Syracuse Minoa High School. Both of those meeting go from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Two meetings will be held at Dr. King Elementary School in Syracuse on Wednesday, July 11th. One runs from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Another runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The DOT has selected the community grid option as the ‘preferred’ choice for replacing the aging section of the elevated highway but the report is not final. All are welcome to attend the meetings to learn more about the project.
