Geneva City Council could appoint Greco successor at next week’s meeting

Since the passing of longtime Geneva City Councilman John Greco – there has been a vacancy where he once sat.

That vacancy has caused a lot of controversy in the process of remaining empty, too.

Now though, Assistant City Manager Adam Blowers tells Finger Lakes News Radio that the topic could come up at next week’s meeting.

Last week, City Council met with prospective candidates in executive session.

Blowers told FLNR that if a city councilor makes a motion to appoint one of the candidates at next week’s meeting – and the full-body votes to agree – it would result in an immediate appointment. The person selected would assume the role immediately.
