Police: Bicyclist transported to hospital after accident in Seneca Falls

On Saturday at 1:27 p.m. first responders were called to a car-bicycle crash along Fall Street.

The Seneca Falls Police Department responded along with the Seneca Falls Fire Department and North Seneca Ambulance to the scene near the Circle K convenience store.

Amanda L. Cummings, 33, of North Rose was traveling east on Fall Street when a cyclist, who had been traveling against the flow of traffic, drove directly into the path of her vehicle.

Cummings vehicle then collided with the cyclist, who was later identified as Dwayne W. Hardy, 27, of Canandaigua.

Hardy was transported from the scene by ambulance to Geneva Hospital due to a complaint of a broken ankle and back pain. The vehicle was towed from the scene, according to police.
