HOLIDAY FORECAST: Week will be hot, humid; chance of storms builds by Friday

It’s going to be a warm and muggy holiday week across the Finger Lakes and Western New York, according to the National Weather Service.

While there will be chances for showers and thunderstorms throughout; it doesn’t appear as though any day will be a washout.

Monday: Mostly sunny. High near 80. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.

Tuesday: Chance of showers or thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy. High around 81. Light and variety winds. Thunderstorm chances continue into overnight hours.

Wednesday: Chance of showers or thunderstorms. High near 85. Thunderstorm chances continue into overnight hours. High around 85.

Independence Day: Chance of thunderstorms. High around 88. Risk for storms continues into overnight hours again.

Friday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy. High around 86.

Saturday: Slight chance of a shower. Mostly cloudy. High around 82.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. High around 79.
