A Waterloo man is facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly dragging a dog while it was tied to the vehicle he was driving.
Seneca Falls Police say the dog was dragged more than half a mile before the vehicle stopped.
Police have charged Steven Arndt, 60, with aggravated cruelty to animals, carrying an animal in a cruel manner and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
According to police, Arndt stated he forgot the dog was tied to the vehicle.
The dog is said to have suffered extensive injuries, but is expected to recover.
