State lawmakers fail to vote on security cameras in state-run group homes

For two years, News10NBC has been investigating the deaths of two people inside local, state-run group homes.

On Wednesday, we learned a push to get surveillance cameras inside those homes did not get a single vote by a state lawmaker. News10NBC started tracking this issue after a young woman died at a group home in Webster.

Heather Roselli died in her group home in Webster two years ago. Her birthday is a week from Thursday. She would have turned 37 years old.

“All the emotions start coming back,” her father Keith Parks said.
