Bavis gets 3.25% raise in Waterloo, bumping salary to $164K

School Superintendent Terri Bavis will receive a 3.25 percent salary increase on July 1.

The Board of Education voted 8-0 Monday to approve the pay hike. Board member Coreen Lowry was absent.

The increase will bump Bavis’ salary up from $159,025 to $164,193.

Bavis has been superintendent since July 1, 2016. Her current contract expires June 30, 2020.

In other action, the board voted to authorize the Ferrara Fiorenza law firm of Syracuse to pursue mediation to recover all available damages resulting from contractor Paul F. Vitale Inc. of Auburn allegedly failing to properly perform the parking lot repaving project at the district office and Skoi-Yase Primary School lots.
