The Rochester Red Wings defeated the Columbus Clippers 4-3 Tuesday at Frontier Field to extend their winning streak to eight games and continue to rise up the International League North Division standings.
The last time Rochester (28-33) reeled off eight consecutive wins was June 2006.
The Wings current winning streak began with a 9-3 road win against Syracuse on June 4.
Since then, Rochester has won an additional two road contests against the Mets, followed by four straight on the road against Pawtucket and, most recently, a home victory against Columbus.
