Geneva man gets 9 years for selling drugs

Ontario County Judge Brian Dennis sentenced a Geneva man to a lengthy prison term Tuesday for selling drugs last fall.

District Attorney Jim Ritts said Ryan Reeder, 37, was sentenced to nine years in prison for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (class B felony). He was convicted of that charge in a jury trial earlier this year.

Reeder was found guilty of selling fentanyl and heroin last Sept. 19 in Canandaigua. He was found not guilty of selling drugs last Sept. 13 in Geneva.

Reeder had previously rejected an offer to plead guilty and spend five years in prison.
