Geneva man violates protective order, attempts to flee police

Police say a Geneva man violated an order of protection, resulting in felony charges.

On June 8th at approximately 10:28 a.m. police arrested Nicholas Sheils, 33, of Geneva.

He’s accused of violating a protective order, and was subsequently charged with first-degree contempt.



When police attempted to take him into custody – he resisted and fled. Sheils was ultimately taken into custody, and charged with second-degree escape.

He was held on $10,000 bail.
