Former hardware store building in Geneva down to bare bones

Building renovations in downtown Geneva are hardly unique, but it’s not often you see one as transparent as the one at 410 Exchange St., the former site of F.A. Church Hardware store.

The building’s facade was removed as part of a renovation project that includes a plan to create three two-bedroom, two-bath upstairs apartments, with commercial use for the first floor, said Brian Kelly, a building inspector with the city of Geneva.

“They’re re-doing the whole front of the building,” he said, noting they have already replaced the roof.

The project is being developed by Jacob Rayburn and Andrew Horner, along with Jacob Rayburn’s father, Donald, under the name Two Dogs LLC., said Kelly.
