Craig Rideout’s sister opposes Alex’s early release

It’s been three years since the Penfield father of seven, Craig Rideout, was murdered.

His body was dumped in Yates County.

His estranged wife Laura Rideout and his son Colin were convicted of murder and tampering with evidence in the death of Craig Rideout.

Alex Rideout, another son, was convicted of tampering with evidence and could get an early release from prison.

“In my estimation, if you’re going to get early release, you need to show remorse,” said Robbyn Drew, Craig Rideout’s sister.

Drew says she has forgiven Laura, Colin, and Alex Rideout, but she says that forgiveness was to free herself so she could move on with her life.

She says it doesn’t mean she thinks all three were not responsible for her brother’s death, even Alex who was convicted of a lesser crime.
