Merritt gets five years for hiding gun used in Cosentino shooting

A Geneva man was sentenced to state prison Monday morning for hiding a gun prosecutors said was used to shoot Michael Cosentino in April 2018.

Ontario County Assistant District Attorney Jason MacBride said Timetheus Merritt was sentenced by Judge Craig Doran to five years in prison and five years’ probation. Merritt pleaded guilty in late March to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
