There are so many reasons why Victor is a perennial champion in Section V boys lacrosse, and Wednesday night, we saw yet another one.
In a season where there were more struggles than the Blue Devils have endured in the past two or three years combined, in the waning moments at St. John Fisher College, their championship pedigree emerged when it absolutely had to.
Down 6-4 with less than six minutes to play in the Class B title game, the Blue Devils ran the table, scoring the last three goals to pull out a magnificently exciting 7-6 victory over Canandaigua.
