The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that one person was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse following a two-car crash at the intersection of State Route 414 and North Road on Sunday.
The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. when a vehicle being operated by Frances C. Riccione, 88, of Seneca Falls failed to stop at a steady red signal while traveling west. Her vehicle collided with a truck being operated by 57-year-old Kevin Peck, of Seneca Falls.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene.
Riccione suffered internal injuries and was flown by LifeNet Medical Helicopter to Upstate Medical Center. A passenger in her vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported to Geneva General Hospital.
Peck sustained minor injuries as well, according to police. They say he and a passenger were transported to Geneva General Hospital for further evaluation.
Police say none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
