Police investigate overnight shooting in Ithaca

The Ithaca Police Department is investigating a shooting, which occurred during the early-morning hours of Friday.

Around 1:15 a.m. police responded to West Green Street for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival – no victims were located.

However, a short time later one victim was found at a local hospital. At this point, police say the investigation is ongoing – and suspect information is still being developed.

Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Ithaca Police Department. Any businesses or residences on West Green Street between Plain and South Cayuga Street, who have security footage – is asked to contact police.
