Syracuse basketball forward Oshae Brissett is leaving Syracuse University and the basketball program and staying in the upcoming NBA Draft. He announced his decision on Twitter on Tuesday night surprising most Syracuse Orange fans who assumed Brissett would return to school for his junior season.

Brissett played two seasons for the Orange, averaging 14.9 points per game and 8.8 rebounds as a freshman to turn himself into a NBA prospect after just one year at the school. His numbers regressed as a sophomore, when he averaged 12.4 points and 7.5 rebounds.
I want to thank Oshae Brissett for all he did in his two years with our program. He was an important part of two NCAA Tournament teams at Syracuse. We appreciate his contributions and now wish him the best of luck.
