Trio charged after hit-and-run in Canandaigua

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of several individuals following a hit-and-run accident on Saltonstall Street in the city.

On May 19th at approximately 3:20 p.m. officers responded to the scene, where a vehicle had left the roadway, and struck a traffic sign. Through investigation a heavily damaged vehicle was found at a nearby gas station.

Three people were charged as follows:

Lisa Morris, who was operating the vehicle, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol. She was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after officers found cocaine. She was cited on a variety of other traffic violations.

Sonia Roman-Torres was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance for also possessing cocaine. She was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office on a separate charge.

Chynna-Blu Nagle was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice based on having three outstanding warrants from Pennsylvania.

Police say the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
