USPS truck driver airlifted after serious crash in E. Bloomfield

A USPS truck driver was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital after a serious crash in East Bloomfield on Saturday.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m., according to State Police, who said the accident happened at the intersection of State Route 5&20 and Cannan Road.

Troopers say the driver of the USPS truck stopped at the intersection, and failed to see a pickup truck that was traveling east.

The operator of the pickup truck was transported to Thompson Hospital for minor injuries.

State Police say the USPS truck driver was alert and conscious when they arrived.

The investigation remains active.
