Troopers: Grandmother killed in fire near Corning, grandson accused of making meth

A man has been charged with manslaughter and making meth after investigators say his grandmother was killed in a fire outside of Corning.

Crews responded to the structure fire just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning in the Village of Riverside.

Hours after the fire, troopers reported that one woman, 82-year-old Gladys Ann Willow, had died from the flames.

Wednesday, troopers said they had arrested her grandson, Justin L. Gause, on charges of manslaughter, reckless endangerment and unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.
