Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce says a Waterloo resident was arrested on Friday following an investigation into more than $20,000 in stolen cash from a local residence.
Kody J. Russell, 20, of Waterloo was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on Friday by deputies. He was charged with third-degree grand larceny, which is a Class D felony.
On March 27th, deputies responded to a Waterloo residence for the report of money that was stolen from a safe. Deputies learned that $21,000 had been taken from a safe at the home.
Deputies say the money was stolen between November and December.
Russell was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility pending further action.
