Development celebrates a diversity of abilities in Newark

The site features a cafe and bakery, ice cream shop, expanded print shop and job-training facilities, as well as a private gift store called Makon Cove that is run by twin sisters Melissa Wallis and Michelle Cline. They said they entered into a lease with The Arc Wayne just two days earlier.

The Arc Wayne Executive Director David Calhoun said the new cafe and bakery fills a need in Newark and Wayne County. Plenty of thought went into its design, he said.
