Deputies: Traffic stop leads to DWI, CPCS charges in Victor

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 36-year-old Farmington man following a traffic stop along State Route 96 in the Town of Victor.

On Friday around 2:38 a.m. deputies stopped William D. Beck, 35, for failing to keep right. Upon investigation it was determined that Beck was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition.

He was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Deputies also located concentrated marijuana in Beck’s vehicle post-arrest. It was also discovered that his driving privileges had been suspended.

The Ontario County Humane Society responded for two dogs, which were in Beck’s vehicle, according to deputies. Farmington Service responded for the vehicle, which was towed from the scene.

Beck was released and issued citations for driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Beck will answer the charges in Victor Town Court at a later date.
