Local favorites and more announced for CFCU Summer Concert series

The Downtown Ithaca Alliance has revealed the lineup for the CFCU Summer Concert Series.

The series will be held at the Bernie Milton Pavilion on the Ithaca Commons and will cover several genres, from Latin to jazz and hip-hop to soul, funk, and pop. It will start at 6 p.m. on June 20 and continue each Thursday until Sept. 12, except for a show on Wednesday, July 17, and a one-week hiatus during the first week of July.

NEO Project, a seven-piece high-energy party music band will kick off the concert series.

August First will play the following week. The Massachusetts-based band celebrates the life of Grateful Dead musician Jerry Garcia through a style they call “Blues-Grassicana.”

Empire Kings, an Ithaca-based hip-hop group will start their July 11 performance by creating a live painting on stage, accompanied by their DJ, and will then perform a high energy set of music about current events.
