Deputies say a 22-year-old Waterloo resident was arrested for DWI following a property damage accident in the Town of Arcadia.
Paige McKoy, 22, of Waterloo was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC of 0.19 percent, and aggravated unlicensed operation following the crash along Old Lyons Road.
A passerby called 911 when they noticed a vehicle off the road and into a tree. When deputies arrived, McKoy was in the driver’s seat and attempting to get the vehicle out of the trees.
She was placed through field sobriety tests, and eventually transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for further testing.
She was taken to the Wayne County Jail and released. McKoy will appear at a later date to answer the charge.
