Wegmans teams with DoorDash for meal delivery app

You may soon be able to have Wegmans meals delivered right to your door.

Wegmans is teaming up with DoorDash for its new “Wegmans Meals 2GO” app. With it, customers can have Wegmans-made meals delivered to their homes.

The service is currently available for Pittsford, East Avenue and Perinton stores, as well as Dulles in Virginia. It will be available at the Penfield and at Holt Road stores beginning Tuesday.

Wegmans says the service will be available for more than 40 stores by the end of the year, and it will continue to expand in 2020.

Delivery is available for orders over $20 to residences within a radius of about five miles of participating stores. Items that can be ordered include pizza, subs, ready-to-heat meals and many others.

Interested customers must download the Wegmans Meals 2GO app. Deliveries can be scheduled between 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. The app will indicate whether an order is eligible for delivery. Orders for carryout or curbside pickup can also be placed.
