Police: Four charged with trespassing on tracks owned by Finger Lakes Railway

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that on Friday at approximately 1:33 p.m. officers arrested four individuals following a trespassing complaint at the Finger Lakes Railway Crossing on State Route 89.

A passing train reported people on the tracks. Upon arrival, officers located Lewis D Griffin, 59; Lewis D. Griffin, 28; John R. Hudgeon, 64; and John R. Hudgeon III, 38; all from Rochester.

Police say the four walked down the railroad tracks to access a fishing location passing no trespassing signs along the way.

Finger Lakes Railway pursued criminal charges against the individuals. They were subsequently charged with trespassing; a violation.

Appearance tickets were issued, according to police. They say New York State DEC Police assisted with the incident also citing the males for environmental conservation law violations.
