The Penn Yan Police Department arrested a village resident after receiving a complaint about a stolen car.
Sean M. Weimer, 31, of Penn Yan was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance, possessing a hypodermic instrument and aggravated unlicensed operation after he was found operating the vehicle.
Weimer was also operating that vehicle on a suspended license, and found to be in possession of heroin, cocaine, and a hypodermic instrument.
The grand larceny charge is a felony, according to police; and he was transported to the Yates County Jail.
Police say he’s also being held on a parole warrant, which was issued that night.
