Rep. Tom Reed announced a $455,000 grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide the Geneva Housing Authority with funding to develop, repair, and improve affordable housing in the area.
“We care about ensuring our friends and neighbors have fair access to quality housing,” Reed said. “This grant enables the Geneva Housing Authority to make renovations to public housing properties, ensuring quality affordable housing and boosts jobs.”
“We’re very pleased, this is the second year in a row that the administration has substantially increased funding to help deal with the backlog of improvements needed to our properties,” said Andrew Tyman, CEO of the Geneva Housing Authority. He added that the grant will be used to repair roofs and complete other capital improvements.
