DOT to hold public meeting on roundabout plan for Victor

A public information meeting to discuss a proposal for a roundabout in Victor is scheduled for next month.

The roundabout would be installed at the intersection of Route 96 and Lynaugh Road. Construction for the roundabout would include new sidewalks, a new closed drainage system, a retaining wall, more lighting and landscaping.

The New York State Department of Transportation will hold the meeting on Wednesday, May 1 from 4 – 7 p.m.

The DOT has been planning to add more roundabouts to western New York and the Finger Lakes area over the next few years. In April 2018, they said they wanted to install the new traffic structures at three locations: Route 63 in Geneseo at Court Street, Route 96 at Lynaugh Road in Victor, and Route 77 in Alabama.
