A public hearing will be conducted at noon Friday, April 26, on a proposed $500,000 state grant for the National Women’s Hall of Fame project at 1 Canal St.
The hearing will be at the town Municipal Building, 130 Ovid St..
The Empire State Development Corporation grant will go toward the $2.5 million renovation of the first floor of the historic 1844 former Seneca Knitting Mill building on the south shore of the Cayuga-Seneca Canal into the new home of the Hall of Fame.
The ESD has adopted the general project plan for the Hall of Fame relocation. The plan is on file for public review at the Seneca Falls Municipal Building and at the Seneca County Clerk’s Office in the County Office Building, 1 DiPronio Drive, Waterloo.
