DAILY FORECAST: Highs push into the low-50s, warming trend begins in FLX

While there will be a chance for some showers late-today – an improving pattern will be evident, according to forecasters.

Temperatures will rise through the remainder of the week.

Today highs will push into the low-50s. On Wednesday, those temperatures will climb a little more – getting into the mid- to upper-50s. Then, warm air will build – and high temps in the low-70s can be expected for the end of the week, and start of the weekend.

Showers will build into the region this afternoon- and evening. It won’t be a washout. That said, those showers will be more likely during the evening and overnight hours.

Here’s the next 5-days from the National Weather Service:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. East wind 3 to 6 mph.

Thursday: A chance of showers before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. Breezy, with a south wind 22 to 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 72. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Sunday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 58. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
