Police: Woman stole property to compensate for late-rent while subletting room

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of a 26-year-old resident, who was subletting a space – resulting in a landlord-tenant dispute.

Brittany L. Karge, 26, of Seneca Falls was subletting a room in her home to another person. When that individual fell behind on rental payments – Karge “took it upon herself to enter the rented space,” according to police.

They say she intentionally removed property to withhold until the rent was paid.

Karge was charged with one count of petit larceny. She was processed and released with an appearance ticket.

The charge will be answered at a later date.
