State Police say a 9-year-old is in stable condition after they were struck by a vehicle in Danby Wednesday night.

The incident happened around 5:13 p.m. on Coddington Road near German Cross Road in the town of Danby.

“An investigation revealed that a woman from Brooktondale operating a 2008 Toyota Prius was traveling east on Coddington Road when she struck the 9-year-old,” State Police said in a press release. “The child was running across the street from a driveway when struck. The operator of the vehicle stopped immediately and has been cooperative with troopers.”
