Syracuse University has changed the timeline on its Carrier Dome renovation project and the athletic department will vacate the Carrier Dome on March 1, 2020, the school’s athletic director John Wildhack told ESPN Radio’s Brent Axe on Tuesday.
“As we look toward 2020, really beginning March 1 of 2020, athletics will vacate the Dome so that we can begin the heavy lift on the roof project,” Syracuse athletics director John Wildhack told ESPN Radio on Tuesday. “That would necessitate both (lacrosse) programs looking to play games outside next year.”
Syracuse University Senior Associate Vice President of University Communications Sarah Scalese said in a statement that the timeline for the renovation remains in flux.
