Intoxicated driver leads police on pursuit in Wayne County

Troopers say a Watertown resident was arrested on multiple charges – including felony driving while intoxicated, after a pursuit on State Route 104 in the Town of Butler over the weekend.

On Friday Lewis W. Hall, 52, of Watertown was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, four counts of possession of an open container, eight counts of unlicensed operation, eight additional counts of unlicensed operation, four counts of operating out of class, four counts of operating in violation of restrictions, four counts of operating out of ignition interlock restriction, and numerous other vehicle and traffic laws.

Troopers observed a vehicle speeding on Route 104 in Butler. A pursuit ensued when the vehicle did not stop for police.

He was arraigned in Williamson Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail on no bail.

He’s scheduled for additional court action on April 4th and April 26th.
