The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says that 4-year-old Aubrei Henning from South Carolina was located safe after investigators requested the public’s help finding her on Saturday.
Her mother, Nakisha Harris, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where she will be arraigned on a fugitive from justice charge.
A warrant had been issued in South Carolina for her arrest.
The 4-year-old was returned to her father who traveled to Wayne County from South Carolina seeking the Sheriff’s Office’s assistance in locating the missing child.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the public’s help locating an endangered child.
Aubrei Lynn Henning, 4, is described as being a white female, 3′ tall, weighing 45 lbs. Deputies say she has brown hair and brown eyes.
Aubrei Lynn Henning was last seen in Sodus with her biological mother 30-year-old Nakisha M. Harris.
Harris is described as being 5’5, 120 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.
Deputies say she picked her child up from her biological father whom she lives with in South Carolina on March 6th and failed to return the child.

Information was obtained that Harris had fled to Sodus with the child.
Authorities in South Carolina filed a missing endangered persons report, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was notified and attempted to locate Nakisha and Aubri at several addresses in Wayne County.
A warrant for arrest was issued in South Carolina for Harris for a family offense, and the minor child is in immediate need of protection.
It is believed that Nakisha M. Harris and the child are still in the Wayne or Seneca County areas.
