Police: Waterloo woman hit two children, left bruises

On Thursday at approximately 5:23 p.m. police arrested a Waterloo woman following an investigation into a family incident.

Chloe A. Gibbs, 23, of Waterloo is accused of hitting two children, ages 4 and 5, with sufficient force to cause bruising.

Police say Gibbs was charged with two counts of harassment and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The investigation and subsequent arrest began with a report of ‘family problems’ received by law enforcement.

She was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center for arraignment. The court released Gibbs on her own recognizance, scheduling her to re-appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on April 10th.

An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victims.
