On Thursday at approximately 5:50 p.m. police responded to a local residence after a person reported hearing a male and female arguing.
When police arrived, they located George A. Lopez, 23, of Waterloo inside a home along with a female and children.
During the subsequent investigation it was discovered that Lopez had an active stay away order of protection had been previously issued on behalf of the female.
Lopez was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. That charge was a felony due to a previous conviction of a family offense.
He was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility.
