Police: Lyons man attempted to steal from SF liquor store

On Thursday at approximately 6:09 p.m. police arrested a 21-year-old Lyons resident following a theft from a local liquor store.

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that they responded to D.A. Liquor on Bridge Street after Gregory Stone, 21, of Lyons was observed by an employee taking a bottle of liquor, concealing it in his jacket, and passing all points of sale without rendering payment.

Police say Stone was charged with one count of petit larceny.

The charge will be answered at a later date in Seneca Falls Town Court.
