A Canandaigua man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly forced a minor into sexual contact. He’s also accused of recording the victim in the bathroom.

William Jones, 39, has been charged with sex abuse and unlawful surveillance.

He’s accused of sexually abusing the victim, who was under the age of 16, over the course of two years. He is additionally accused of secretly recording the victim in a bathroom in May 2018.

The crimes are said to have taken place in the City of Canandaigua. They don’t believe there are additional victims – but anyone who thinks they have information pertinent to this investigation to come forward.

Jones was remanded to the Ontario County Jail. An order of protection was requested.
