Kevin Johnson is a former first-round pick, but he clearly understands that his previous draft status doesn’t mean a thing anymore as he begins a new chapter in his star-crossed career.
The Buffalo Bills officially announced the signing of Johnson to a one-year deal Tuesday, and the cornerback knows a starting position isn’t going to be handed to him.
“I’m ready to come here and go to work,” he said via a conference call with reporters. “The defense plays fast and physical. I have to come in and earn my respect from coaches and teammates.”
Houston picked Johnson No. 16 overall in 2015 out of Wake Forest, but he never really found his groove with the Texans as injuries derailed his time there. Read More
