Deals galore at Eastview mall with Charlotte Russe, Gymboree closures

argain lovers, Eastview Mall is the place to be. Due to national chain closures, stores are rolling out the deals.

Charlotte Russe announced Thursday it will close all of its stores over the next two months. The women's clothing chain initially was only going to shutter a part of its portfolio. It filed for bankruptcy protection a month ago and announced plans to close only 94 of its 512 stores nationwide. Eastview Mall's store was on the original closure list and now the store at the Mall at Greece Ridge will close as well.

Charlotte Russe and Gymboree at Eastview Mall are in the midst of its going-out-of-business sale, with Gymboree slated to close by mid to late April. The Charlotte Russe online store has closed and says the in-store liquidation starts Thursday. Like with other liquidation sales, all sales are final.

Gymboree Group Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January, less than two years after its initial bankruptcy in 2017. The San Francisco-based company has over 900 stores under the names Gymboree, Crazy 8, and Janie and Jack. The Janie and Jack store at Eastview Mall may stay open, said mall manager Michael Kauffman.

At Gymboree Eastview, all items are 50 percent off the full retail price right now. The clearance section is an additional 70 percent off the marked down price. Gymboree is known for its colorful, playful children's wear.
