Deputies: Ontario woman asked child to hide gun, marijuana for her from officers

Deputies say an Ontario woman was arrested after asking a child to hide a gun for her prior to police arrival over the weekend.

The incident took place on Sunday around 9:55 a.m., according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Jessica A. Morrison, 36, of Ontario was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana after allegedly asking a child to hide a gun and some drugs prior to police arriving at her residence.

A report was made to Child Protective Services, according to deputies.

Morrison was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Ontario Town Court at a later date.
