Firefighters responded to a house fire early Friday morning in Macedon.
A member of the fire department says a passerby saw smoke coming from the roof of the home on West Walworth Road and called it in.
The owners are on vacation, but were notified over the phone. The home is considered a total loss.
Our news partners at the Times of Wayne County said there was little to be done when firefighters arrived.
“It was fully involved when we got there. There was nothing left, all we could do is surround and drown it,” said South Macedon Fire Chief Chris Creamer.
There were no injuries to any firefighters on scene.
Fire investigators have not released any information about a cause.
